Founder of Aarohi Music - A journey of passion, tradition, and musical excellence
My name is Sangeeta Mule, and I am the founder of Aarohi Music, a music organization that I established over twenty years ago after moving to Mumbai. I run this company along with my husband, Vilas Rajapurkar, and together we have been nurturing and expanding our work in music for the past two decades.
Aarohi Music functions as a group with multiple verticals:

I was named Sangeeta by my parents because I began singing at a very young age—around one and a half years old—when I first started singing with my father. From that time onward, music became an inseparable part of my life.
I have undergone rigorous classical music training, including tanpura riyaaz, and hold a Master of Performing Arts (Vocal Music) degree from the Faculty of Performing Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara.
My father, Pandit Shrikant Mule, was a renowned Sitar Professor at the same university, where he served for 35 years. Even at the age of 89, he continues to play the sitar occasionally, having devoted his entire life to music.
My mother, Shrikala Mule, was also a gifted singer. From her, I inherited my strength in light music, including Bollywood songs, bhajans, and ghazals. My grounding in classical music, discipline, and teaching comes from my father. I consider myself truly blessed to have received musical richness from both sides of my family.
Vadodara (Baroda) is my native place, though I have been based in Mumbai for the last 20 years. I have also performed internationally and first traveled abroad to London at the age of 18.
A significant part of my work focuses on wedding chants and ceremonial music, where I believe it is essential for both the bride and groom to understand the meaning and purpose of marriage rituals.

I have been practicing this unique blend of scripted chanting and classical music consistently for many years.
One of my most notable projects includes writing the complete wedding ceremony script for Isha Ambani's wedding, working closely with Mrs. Nita Ambani through multiple detailed meetings to curate every chant, song, shloka, and auspicious composition.
I have also performed chanting at high-profile weddings, including Sonam Kapoor's wedding, among many others.
In addition to performance and teaching, I am also a Music Therapist. Through Raga Chikitsa (music therapy), I work with specific ragas designed to support various health conditions, such as:
Diabetes
Blood Pressure
Stress-related Disorders
Each ailment is addressed through carefully chosen ragas as part of a holistic healing approach.
My husband, Vilas Rajapurkar, has been an integral part of Aarohi Music from the very beginning. He is a highly passionate and accomplished singer with a voice often compared to Jagjit Singh, and he performs extensively alongside me.
